Sometimes the most beautiful portraits are taken on ordinary days — during a quiet coffee, a laugh between friends, or a walk through the city.
This session took place on Oude Binnenweg, one of Rotterdam’s liveliest streets, known for its cozy cafés and relaxed weekend atmosphere.
My model came all the way from Leiden to spend the day in the city — just enjoying the sunshine, a good cup of coffee, and the charming chaos of summer in Rotterdam.
We took a few photos both inside and outside the café, capturing the balance between calm and movement — the glow of sunlight through glass, the street reflections, and the soft laughter of people passing by.
It was a quick and spontaneous personal photoshoot — simple, feminine, and full of warmth.
These small sessions always remind me how much beauty there is in everyday life, especially when you just pause for a moment to see it.

The photoshoot happened so spontaneously, we didn’t even plan it. It felt so natural and easy, I barely noticed we were shooting 🙈 And the result… these photos truly show how I felt in that moment ❤️
