This sunset portrait session in Hoek van Holland turned into one of my favorite shoots of the summer.
We caught the very last rays of light — and when the sun disappeared, I switched to flash photography to create that modern, glossy look that’s now so trendy in editorial-style portraits.
The golden tones mixed with the sparkle of skin and hair made every shot look cinematic.
We even added a little shimmer spray — my secret touch for extra glow.
The result: bright, expressive portraits with a fresh and stylish vibe that captures the beauty of that late-summer mood.
Right now, everyone’s experimenting with on-camera flash portraits, but what makes the difference is not just the gear — it’s understanding the light, the timing, and the emotion behind it.
I’m so happy this session turned out exactly how I imagined — bold, feminine, and full of life.
